Scammer sent an email to me saying they were Microsoft and that I had purchased Windows Defender for $349.99. I had 48 hours to dispute it and they convinced me to download a program to let them control my computer. I thought that they were deleting the downloaded program. I found out later that Windows Defender was already installed and that it is free. The scammer then asked me to connect with my bank so they can refund the $344.99. That's when I got suspicious and would not connect to my bank. Scammer hot impatient and hung up. I read later that this is a common scam. DON'T RESPOND TO WINDOWS DEFENDER!
