The text came from number 442.243.6444 and requested I send a text to a man named Philip Cameron at 213.338.3717.
They want a response? A picture of a big [censored] middle finger in the air would be an appropriate response. Or a dong pic.
I hope you’re staying safe?

Mr. JOHN FAGALA is the agent in charge of your payment and identity verification. Before payment can be issued to you, a form of identification is required. Your payment will be issued immediately after your identity is fully verified. So basically, we won this two years ago and decided to give back to the community. Kindly text Mr. JOHN FAGALA now with a copy of your identification to get you verified and also have access to your funds…
Hoping this was not a scam but seems it is..

Like the text attached says, contacted by supposed Wolverine FLL Club with exciting news of being the lucky recipient of a cash prize being donated to 500 lucky individuals winning a phone number lottery pick. Text gave phone number to call and asked that full name be written in text. No money was being asked for, but along with full name, they asked for photo ID and verification through ID.me.
I texted them, attn: Jackson Ford, they asked for ID, which I sent, and then they asked that I send them code. That was a little over an hour and 15 mins ago.
Rather depressing... I'm recently made homeless and struggling to keep my 3 jobs active. Money is tight, bank account almost empty, and the Phoenix Metro Area has daytime temps hitting 110°+... and Monsoon season!
This text brought me a moments doubt, then I watched the YouTube Video linked...
"OMG! They're real! ...and not asking for any money! YES! A break!"
Not REAL... and who knows what they'll do with my AZDL. Already having identity theft issues. Why not compound my chaos!?!
It's sad, but we HAVE TO WATCH every little move we make in these times... so much chaos and pain, yet wonderous beauty and fortune, if one can see. BeWell!?

Called the number the text was sent from (775-388-0260) and a man answered, saying "this is so-and-so, how may I help you?" I couldn't understand who he said he was (or who he represented), so I said "I'm sorry, who is this again?" and the guy hung up on me.
My text tells me to contact "MR GREG POWELL" and gives a phone number of "+1-702-637-3842" (not the number the text came from. I'm notifying the FTC or FCC and/or the FBI about this OBVIOUS SCAM.
