Later that day “Mr. Wood” called me and sent additional pictures and a video of the puppy. He explained that to expedite shipping I would need to send the money via Simplex Elastum, which I did, using my United Bank debit card. The "wallet address" he provided for the transaction was: 1GbsKZsBjTfCNqbt98Y9BjP1xA7FFdFBDd
He sent a “Purchase Agreement” which I completed and returned. This is attached, FYI. There are other names on this contract and a physical address in New Jersey, as well as an additional email address.
He called again after the funds were received and told me he was in process to ship the puppy Kelly. He also sent more pictures.
A few hours later I received a phone call, and then an email, from “Express Pet Shipping” ([email protected]) demanding an additional $1000.00 for an “electronic pet crate”. This was my first clue that this was a scam. I called “Morgan” and he acted very surprised and said he would investigate and get back to me. After 3 hours I attempted to call him and received a message that the number was no longer in service.
