I am looking for a work at home position. I saw WFH opportunity with AImmune Therapeutics... in California. I was in contact with Vickie Panko via Skype. When she said something about paying for a G1 Time Tracker, I highly suspected it was a scam. "She" tried to assure me that it is not. So, they UPS'd me a check that I'm supposed to deposit, $4,260 or something. I'm not doing it. The accompanying letter gave an e-mail address close to the CFO of Johnson and Johnson... except it was a misspelling of his address... at Accountant.com. "Vickie" also suggested payment types of PayPal, Venmo, and CashApp. Wow.

Anyway, beware of WFH scams. Good grief, they are getting clever!!!!

I was looking for a home job. I received a email from the company Statera Biopharma Inc stating I would be a great candidate for the Data entry position. they sent me a Employment offer letter i was to print out sign and send back. they then sent through emails a check for me to deposit through my banking app. so it was a copie. i tried but it never deposited. I went to my bank they said no not without a real check. I got suspicious so i called there bank. Bank of America. they located account and routing number but no name and no address. now they claim we have to link payroll to my bank they want account and routing numbers. not giving any info. now not getting any response. Scammer sent me a text and said they saw my Resume on Indeed and if I was still looking for a job. I said yes and asked me to download and app called telegram and message Carlos and gave me his contact info on the app to schedule an interview and had a 2 1/2 hour interview. Then told me they would like to offer me a job as they were building a location in Erie, CO and had another one in Delaware currently. I would work from home and then had the choice to work at the facility or remain remote. I had assignments I had to email him for a week telling him about different business scenarios and how I would handle them and customer service and how I would handle various situations. Scammer then told me they were sending me a check by Fedex and because they had issues with other people not purchasing the correct programs etc that I had to use their vendor that knew how to set it all up correctly. So, they sent me a check and I deposited and then withdrew funds to send to the vendor who was to supply me with the equipment to work. however, after the cash was sent to the vendor through a bitcoin depot, I was called by my bank and found out the check was a fraudulent check. They have since sent me another check but just took it and dropped it off to the bank manager and she will call me tomorrow. I filled out an employee packet with W-2 and I-9 and direct deposit paperwork so I had to freeze all 3 credit bureaus and close my account and get a new one. It has been a nightmare. I am thinking about getting the FBI involved since they use federal paperwork that they had me fill out.
