- Harwood Heights, IL, USA

Was hired about a month ago to be a "shipping specialist" meaning packages would arrive at my house and I would take a record of the contents inside, send the picture to my dashboard and wait for the new shipping label. Once I placed the new shipping label on I would send it back to a UPS store. The agreed upon salary was $2700 base salary with $50 bonus for each package sent. At the end of the first pay period which ended November 20th, my account password was changed and I can't get ahold of anybody that works for this group, keeps saying line busy. They owed me $2700 base salary and $1700 in bonus. I am pretty sure this is a scamming ring targeting free labor. I also don't remember if they have my full social security number or the last 4 digits.

I was suspicious of the company and searched ScamPulse.com network and found the exact scenario and verbiage used but they are now using a new name. I applied for a shipping agent position but became Leary when they wanted to have packages shipped to me and then have them shipped out by me. We have completed the initial pre-screening and we are ready to give you a chance to start a career of a Shipping Agent. This offer comes with a one-month probationary period which will include on-the-job training. This will allow us to judge whether you are capable of performing your work duties remotely. You will have a supervisor to evaluate your job performance. After the one-month probationary period, you will receive a written notice regarding the outcome of your training. During this period, you will be paid $25 for every package you process and dispatch using prepaid shipping labels. These payments are typically made twice per month but can become more frequent if you request. If you can demonstrate high job performance and proper motivation over the next month, you will become a senior shipping agent with a salary of $3,500 per month.

I received an email from the hr rep at the company saying they found my resume on one of the job search engines looking for work from home. Then I had a phone interview with him. A couple days later I received an email saying my application had been approved. It told me to go to a link and use a user name and PIN number provided to open my portal to the Shipmax system. They said I would receive $3500 per month to work as a shipping agent for their company and that 30 days from the date I shipped my first package I would received payment. I worked 30 days then 0n the 29th day they stopped communicating with me. They didn’t pay me and then I found out that they tried to use my identity to place an online order with Samsung. They were unsuccessful because my credit file was locked. Unfortunately we found out a few days later that they did open a $4200 credit limit in my wife’s name with Samsung/TD bank and made an online purchase with Samsung. We placed a fraud alert with all 3 credit bureaus. This was a very elaborate scam they played on me and my wife. Please list this company as a fraudulent business on your website so others will not fall into the same trap.

My partner was hired and started working. He worked for 1 month and when his paycheck was suppose to be deposited he never got paid. The company stopped answering messages and responding to him. This is the contact info he had. 786-408-0138 Maria Calvo 800-508-6471 shipmax 855-769-5656 shipmax.

Contacted by Paul Friedman or Paul Friedmann, signed a emplyee contract, all was legit, website, filings with the state, come one month later I was ghosted on payday. Had to lock all my personal information. RUN!!!! SCAM COMPANY!!!!

I took a job as a “shipping agent” for this company call itself “Swift Fulfillment”. Before I take the job, I went online and check the legitimate of this company. They have an actual credible looking website with history background story, employees pictures, address, phone, atc. The email they sent me about the job opening is an actual email start with “hr” and it was an actual email (not normal scam email with hundreds of random letters when you click on it), they attached this link to a document for applications, and I was told to apply through their portal (look very real to me) and submit my resume through there. And moreover, they made me wait to get notifications if I get the job or not (no rushing). By that time, I fell for their sophisticated trick.

After almost 2 weeks, they emailed me and I got the job. I was provided my personal user name and password for their portal. All the work and communication will be on that platform. (Make the job look more professional and corporate-like)

They also provide me with a “ Employee manual “ in the portal and tell me to learn it thoroughly.

My job description was to receive packages and sent it out with the label they provided. I waited almost 3 months until I get the first package. (I wasn’t pay much attention about this back then, but now think back it was very suspicious to be let wait that long for a job)

After I receive the first package, the “probation period” start and will last 1 month until I got the permanent position and got pay.

I received total of less then 10 packages in that month and spend $25 on shipping (lucky it’s only $25), I was told that all the shipping cost and supplies will be reimbursed.

After I finish the “probation period” I got another email from hr confirmed my permanent position and start pay day. But that day apparently - never come.

I send a message to the “supervisor” about when I will receive that payment.

And that night, I went back on that portal to check. And …

EVERYTHING IS GONE. POOF. Just like that.

The portal doesn’t exist, the website is gone, the email I sent was sent back because “Address not found”… no sign of that company ever existed.

I kind of panic for a second and then continue look up online to find out more. I found on reddit (a review website) some one in the same situation as me.

At that point I have gave up. I had to accept that I was scammed. And I shared this hoping that it will help someone in need.

Thank you for reading!

I began working with the company to be a Quality Inspector. They would send packages to me and I would be sure product was in order and then mail out. Did this for 30 days with a signed agreement to be paid 650.00 per week. No pay was ever received.

They advised I would be shipping packages, set up a whole profile and sent documents that seemed legit. However the communication of on the job training was not provided. The supposed manager/supervisor and hr department all scam. could never get in contact with anyone.

- Grand Prairie, TX, USA

They offered to deliver packages to me. And my job was to verify them and package them up and send them to the post office. They would pay me through PayPal and wanted my PayPal information. They also took all my W-2 information including my social for me to apply to this job.
