Type of a scam Employment
When I called back, the lady asked me if I had ever worked from home (yes) and when can I start? No real "interview" type questions and has not even given me a job description or a pay rate. Just ready to start me next week. I told the lady that although their website LOOKS very professional, it is also very vague and because of her approach made it even more suspicious. She said I was free to ask anything I wanted too. (Well that would be nice since it's my job). So I proceed to ask logical things - first WHAT IS THE JOB? Inspecting packages that will be shipped to my home or UPS / FEDEX facilities near by and then forwarding them on to final destination. Sure. I know it's a scam, but I keep asking questions "just for kicks". Pay rate? $400/week during the 30 day trial period. Pay dates? During trial not paid til completed (so 30 days no check) then weekly after that. Before I get to ask further questions she states she has emailed me the HR paperwork to get started! HUH? You don't even know anything about me! So I already know I'm not doing it and say thanks I'll check into it.
We hang up, I read the email, there is a link to complete the information online. {curiosity killed the cat} I click to see. RIGHT OFF THE BAT - to start the process, upload a copy of your drivers license or passport. Suuuuure. Closed out, then replied to the email to advise that I "respectfully decline the invitation to participate in their scam"
