Scammer's website WWW.WORKINGSPACESTAFFING.COM
Scammer's address UNKNOWN, Los Angeles, CA 90001, USA
Scammer's email [email protected]
Country United States
Victim Location CA 90001, USA
Type of a scam Employment
"Virtual Assistant - WFH - Entry level (Remote) Job"
As per the Job Ad, the Company Name is stated as "WorkSpace Staffing"
The first email I received in response showed the discrepancy of the Email Address name being slightly different and "@WorkingSpaceStaffing.com" adding the "ing"
The alleged Lady who wrote to me signed off with the email signature of "TRACY WYCUFF"
As I live in AUSTRALIA, she told me the first step was to send me a screenshot of my MYGOV dashboard, to ensure that I had working rights within Australia - I took a screenshot of the Dashboard thinking it was safe as I intentionally did not show my member number, etc
I sent the screenshot and asked if she could provide me with the company's WEBSITE and CONTACT DETAILS - so that I could review the company information and ensure both the COMPANY and JOB OFFER was legitimate
My question was ignored (WEBSITE / CONTACT DETAILS were not yet provided in response) and I was asked to proceed the "EMPLOYMENT" conversation via WHATSAPP communication via the link - HTTPS://WA.LINK/oi5mr9
I clicked on the link leading me to a "WHATSAPP BUSINESS" number - +1 (213) 374 0031
As this was for a VIRTUAL ASSISTANT role, this is normal in that field so I messaged from WHATSAPP. - and in my WHATSAPP response, I again asked for company WEBSITE / CONTACT DETAILS
I then received a WHATSAPP response stating "Here is out WEBSITE - WWW.WORKINGSPACESTAFFING.COM - However, the site is under upgrade and should be ready within 48 hours."
I then went to BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU to search for both company names and both came up as a NIL result and not exsisting.
I responded via WHATSAPP stating the negative result on WHATSAPP and that I would not be proceeding with the job offer or providing my personal information - until I can first confirm that the USA company AND the job offer is legitimate. NO RESPONSE.
I sent the same response by EMAIL and again - NO RESPONSE

She was literally congratulating me in the email that my application was a great fit for the role since all I had done is submit an application, presumably in addition to many other applicants. Seemed to be quite a premature odd congratulations that I typically do not observe in a true recruiter. The email stated I would need to take a test but that it was admittedly no big deal at all and "very easy", also strange verbiage and behavior. The email stated a salary of $4,800 monthly, which is *highly* unusual for such a Data Entry position, notably for one to which I would apply at all. Half of that claimed figure at $2,400 would still be a very remarkable salary for such a role. That is quite fishy and overblown. No Tracy Wycuff would be found linked to that company and - also damaging - upon searching for a simple "data entry" phrase on WorkingSpace Staffing's website, an error was returned as no career was found matching that phrase. I searched again just to verify this bizarre result: same thing.
