Someone I know messaged me that my name was on a list for a Grant. She said that she already received her Grant & that I should contact them for mine. I questioned her about being legit or a SCAM. She assured me it was ok and sent me to the following website https://www.facebook.com/Agt.Kathy11221 Her name is Kathy Watson. I also have a number that she uses to send texts to me.786.502.9342 Both Kathy & my aquantance keep telling me it's legit but I am now very suspicious. Kathy tells me my grant will be delivered and the next day needs more money. All of the money I sent supposedly goes towards fees of Insurance, taxes and processing. Right now I have this person on hold as she is asking for another $500 before delivery. Last week I told Kathy wasn't going to send any more money so just send it all back to me and forget the whole thing. She responded that it's not refundable.
I was told this is an Empowerment Grant and the organization is supposed ly World Empowerment Project. Janet also said she sent $1,000 to Kathy to help me pay for the processing. If she really did then I also Janet also said she sent $1,000 to Kathy to help me pay for the processing. If she really did then I also owe her. So as it stands right now I am out $4,500. In order to make these payment I had to borrow from my credit cards but was assured I would get back all the fees once processed plus the Grant.
One more note: the Western Union amount $200 was sent to Jim Smith, Dover, PA 17315
I filed a complaint at www.IC3.gov approximately 4 weeks ago but it was not
