Person advertised for a personal assistant to work from home. I applied and "was selected." Person used the name of Johnathan Pederson of the World Vision Organization. I almost forgot about it until I received a check today via USPS for in excess of $4K. The USPS envelope shows a sender's return address of "Absolute Protection" with an address of **** ******* *** **** **** ******** ** **********. The check was noted as my advanced salary of $700 weekly. A short letter also advised me to deposit the check in my bank account and then send a copy of the bank receipt back to Pederson. If not, the check will not be paid.

Sounds like a scam but I'd like to be certain. I'd also like to have such a job at home since I'm an elderly woman but I also know that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
