Tori Maniford called me on my cell phone on 3/27/18. Ms. Maniford stated my full name and provided the last four of my SSN. Ms. Maniford told me that they were going to file a lawsuit and serve me on 3/28/18. They told me that there is a hearing date on 4/9/18. Further, that the debt was a Citibank debt in the amount of $15,898.51 and that if they couldn't serve me on 3/28/18 they were going to take my default judgment and garnish my wages. I informed Ms. Maniford that I paid the Citibank debt in 2015. Ms. Maniford responded that, "this is a different debt." I have never received anything from Ms. Maniford by mail, personally or otherwise. This telephone call was my first contact. Additionally, when I asked for Ms. Maniford's company information she would only tell me she was calling from the "litigation department." Further, Ms. Maniford refused to provide any contact number other than a telephone number (469)289-9025 which when called is a voice mail with a greeting identifying a personal mailbox of someone whose name I was unable to identify. When a message is left at that number Ms. Maniford calls back in response. Today, Ms. Maniford called back. The caller ID indicated that she was calling from (940)315-8684.
