We found the website wowbulldogpuppies.com, looking for bulldog puppies online. We submitted information through a form on their website and were contacted by Marlise & Jason via email asking information about my family and address, phone, children's ages and if we had them, nearest airport. They sent additional photos and videos of the puppies they had and in the meantime, had increased the price listed on their website from $400 to $500. After several emails, of how perfect of a fit our family sounded, Marlise then texted saying she would drop off the dog at the shipping place and the shipping company would deliver it to our home. About an hour or so later, she contacted me again saying she dropped off the puppy, gave me a tracking number, paid a $25 expedited shipping cost (that she was happy to pay since we were such a great fit) and a link to the website for tracking. The shipping company's website was flyanimalcourrier.com. I was to pay the $500 shipping charge to the courier via western union. I went to the bank and accidentally clicked off the page so tried to look up by name and found the scam report for the same company under multiple business aliases. Wanting to give the benefit of the doubt to the "woman" shipping the puppy I research the domain owner for her website and her phone number she was contacting me from and found a multitude of complaints with them using different names (not Marlise & Jason). Luckily, I never sent the money. It's disgusting that people do this and I wish that authorities did something about these kinds of scams. I'm sure not everyone thinks to report these types of things but since I'd hate for this to happen to someone else, I felt it needed to be done. Buyer beware if buying dogs online. If it seems fishy, it's probably rotten.
