I clicked a link on Blood Hound website to call company. The link dialed to the scammer instead of the company. When I looked at the number I called by pressing link, it was different than the company number typed on the website. When I actually entered the number in my phone to dial I was able to reach the company. The other number had a foreigner (maybe Indian) male asking me for all my info to get a confirmation number. I have my credit card and personal info like DOB. Then he played an advertisement that I listened to and said “ no” in the recording. He came back on line and said he would connect me to the confirmation number and another advertisement played. At this point, I realized it was a scam. I hung up and froze my credit card.

I also will do a credit freeze.

I told the real company what happened but it’s not really their fault.
