On 8/22/2019 I went to https://www.hoobly.com/1946797/42/0/ in search of a pet. I found an ad for a Papillon, along with picture and a phone number. I texted the person about the dog listed. The price was $700, including the shipping.
I sent $700 in two increments, $500 through my bank website to this email ([email protected]) and $200 to a different email ([email protected]) via PayPal.
I was sent an email to go to this website (http://www.federalshippingandlogistics.com/) about shipping the dog, received a tracking number. I then got another email saying Urgent please respond It's about your dog. The shipping cost were listed for 3 different special crates and was recommending the one that cost $1,350 to rent this special crate that was needed. The $1,350 was supposed to be refunded once the dog was delivered to my home.
The shipping name listed as, "Federal Shipping and Logistics Animal Relocation Service United State Branch" A Google search brought up no such company. The website for the supposed company was filled with grammatical errors, misspelled words and other English issues.
I determined that it was an illegitimate company...a scam.
I have requested a full refund, but to this date 8/23/2019 I have not heard from the original company that had the dog for sale.
I have determined that the company selling the dog and the shipping company are both a scam.
