I tried to purchase a puppy for my mother, the so called breeder seemed great, answered all my questions. He used a third party to deliver this puppy to me. Everyday they would tell me they needed money, either a better transport crate was needed, care and accommodation fees, etc. I was promised the puppy would be delivered every single day, by both company and breeder. When I said I couldn't pay, I was guilt tripped that this puppy would be quarantined and I'd have to pay more, still promising that once I paid the puppy would be delivered. Over a week after purchase and the first promise of delivery, there is still no puppy and they still demand more money with fake promises. A $600 purchase turned into over $6000 and no puppy.
