I was looking for a puppy and came across the website puppyhope.com. I called the number (4323073854) listed on the website. He emailed more pictures of the puppy and a contract. I eventually wired $600 through Zelle app for a puppy pug without doing much homework on my end. I was promised that the puppy will be delivered on Sunday (12/30/18). In the morning, I received an email from proflyusa.com claiming that the puppy is on the way. I received a call from a second caller (representative of proflyusa.com) alerted me that an additional email has sent to me. The email basically asks for $1080 for the life insurance for the puppy and the money will be refunded to me upon receiving the puppy at the airport. I almost wired him the additional fund. We exchanged more messages and I realized that whole thing is a scam. I asked for a refund. Obviously, it is a waste of time. The sad thing is that the website is still up and the scammer is beyond the reach of law.
