On 01/04/2022 I was on my computer when my computer froze, and a flashing alert sound & signal appeared. The message was Microsoft has detected hacking into the security. Please do NOT turn off nor unplug your computer. Please call this phone number 1-800-385-0871. I attempted to close this alert signal, but it would not allow me. I could not free my computer, therefore I called the number. A male with a foreign accent answered the phone stating that he was a Microsoft support Technion. He said that he could clean up the viruses and install an updated security program for a $199.99, but before he starts, he has to transfer me to billing. The billing person sound like the Technion. I think it was the same person. The billing person told me that the $199.99 would be for only one cleanup and that if I wanted to protect my computer from any future attacks, I need to purchase either a 3yr security for $400 or a 6yr program for $600. I told him that I could not afford either. He then said I could get a 1yr for $349. I accepted and put the fee on my credit card.

On 01/10/2022 this individual called to say that they had installed a Network Firewall that was not compatible with my Window 10. He went on to say since it was their mistake, they will repair it at no cost to me and will refund me the $349 that was charged to my card. He then said that they need a checking account that they could transfer the refund directly to. I asked if they could to a reverse charge. He gave some long excuse why he could do this. I gave him a checking account to make the deposit. He put me on hold for about 5 minutes. He came but online, speaking in a panic tone saying that he accidently transferred $6000 more than $349. He asked me to check my checking account balance. I did and it showed an additional $6349, but in the detail section it did not show any form of transaction. He said, still in this panic voice that I need to help him get that money back or he will be fired. He said that I need to go to my bank and withdraw $6000 and send it to him. I asked can you just reverse the transaction? He said no. I said that I will call my bank and have reverse the transaction from their end. He then said, oh no, no, the bank will try to charge a transfer fee of $500 - $600 and his company could not afford pay. This was strange to me, since this was supposed to be Microsoft. Regardless of his request not to notify the bank, I called my bank to enquire about this transaction. the bank rep stated that there was no transaction. I called him back and informed him of what my bank rep said, he continued insisting that I just with draw $6000 from my account and sent it to him or he would lose his job. I asked for a tracking number for this transaction. He did not have one. I hung up and called my credit card company to obtain the name of the company that made the charges. She gave me the name WWWUSPC and the phone#: 800-263-0185, this phone number is fake. I did put in a dispute of the charge because they identified themselves as Microsoft staff.
