The site pretends to be running a large auction site of repossessed vehicles (included RVs). You sign up, bid (a la eBay) on the slow-performing site, but it is (probably) set up to let you win pretty easily. Once you "win" the vehicle, they send an invoice requiring up-front payment via Bank Wire Transfer to a bank account (they used JPMorgan Chase in my case) at which point the asset will supposedly be released to the buyer the following week. (By that time, the money will be long gone.) They claimed to be a "broker" in the transaction. I spoke with a woman (Samantha in this case, doubtful her real name) and I was fed many lies by her. When I asked to speak with others in the company, or someone who had actually bought a vehicle via their site, she said she would have someone call back. It never happened.

Information of note:

They (WXTDepot) claim to have been around since 2014. However, some investigation revealed that the web site been online < 3 months. A Google search links to a couple sites where there are supposed chats of people who bought a boat (or a motorcycle) via WXTDepot and had questions about it. (Trying to make it look legit.) Pulling down money for vehicles from people doesn't require them to have many successful scams before they're making money.

They also have a Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/people/WXTDepot-Pre-owned-Vehicles-for-Sale/1000922077...⇄ I reported the site but who knows if it will be action. I noticed that one of their posts had 12 comments but no one can read the comments. I bet they're not complimentary.

I'm sure there is no real office at the address they list. Nor could I find that such a company exists as an LLC.
