Type of a scam CryptoCurrency
I was reached out to on twitter (@kannonlu4 but twitter handles are easily changeable) and told that I had won bitcoin, and that I could access my prize through xanytrade.com The website seems very professional and on the level, though if you pay attention there are a few minor grammatical errors. Once you set up an account, you can input the code you were sent from whoever contacted you ("Kannon Lu" in my case) to add the bitcoin to your balance. However, when you go to withdraw this, you will be asked to make a deposit in order to activate your account, and told that you will be able to take back your deposit immediately after. THIS IS A COMMON CRYPTO SCAM. NEVER send money to anyone you don't trust, once you send it you cannot get it back. I didn't fall for the scam, but wanted to warn others. Stay safe!
