They provide insurance for event tickets purchased, including covid 19. When a member of our party ended up with covid, I submitted the documentation, but by the time they responded the following day (after the show), the ticket holder didn't have covid19. If they were still testing positive, they would have to go to a hospital to get tested and risk exposure just to get the insurance claim paid. Most people will not do that, in fact most can't if they are actually symptomatic, many doctor's offices will simply not allow you to come in, because a home test is accurate... even on MY CRUISE they allowed home tests. Xcover.com required a hospital administered test which was impossible at that point, and most people do not go to the hospital to get a covid test anymore to begin with. So they set you up thinking you're insured, knowing that you will likely not meet their requirements. I guess at this point, anyone saying they're covering covid-19 is just scamming you for money. Lesson learned. Wanted to report this and hopefully help others from not getting scammed as well. If I had known this would happen, I would have gone to the show by myself instead of assuming we would get a refund and go when she was better. Covid19 is explicitly listed as a covered cost. This is just encouraging people to go to their events/trips even when they test positive, have no symptoms, or test negative w/ symptoms. They should just eliminate this coverage altogether unless they're able to reasonably work with you to verify.
