"Comcast" left my mom a voicemail. Wanted to discuss reducing her monthly cable bill. She returned their call. They offered to lower her bill to $79.99/mo. First she must pay the first 4 months upfront. Purchase $320 in gift cards from their working partners: Walmart or Walgreens, or Target gift cards. Thankfully mom knew this was a scam and hung up. She was mad they knew her name and address and the amount she pays currently. She was also upset about the time lost playing this silly game.

A lady posted a job offer on a Facebook group saying to message her for details. I did because she said it payed $25/hour and work from home and she said to contact the email stated above through the app Hangouts and to send them a specific code. I did this and proceeded to do an interview for about two hours which seemed mostly real besides the enormous amount of typos. They repeatedly said that I would be reimbursed for all software that I would be required to download for the job and asked how I would like to be paid. I said direct deposit and they pushed me to say credit card by adding “I think you can also be paid through credit card”. I said I wanted direct deposit and they asked for my bank account name, number, routing number, and username and login. I asked why they needed the login info and they said it was for the accounting department so they could make payments. They offered high pay ($25-hour), benefits, and very flexible hours, as well as reimbursement for high speed internet and any software that would be required by the company.
