They called from 714-451-4524 and left a message on voicemail. The message was that my internet bill will be cancelled and to keep the 50% off I need to call as soon as possible. The phone number to call back was 844-445-7771. When I called they knew my address and phone # and what I was paying Xfinity monthly. They told me I could pay $25 a month if I get a $300 gift card for Target. That was when I realized it was a scam.

I called the number, thinking it was Xfinity to cancel my cable services. I was told I needed to pay a month in advance before they could disconnect my services. When I questioned why, and if I would receive a refund, I was told no, but that was after I had already given my credit card information out. They text me “security codes” for privacy and seemed so legit. It took me a few minutes to realize I wasn’t on the phone with my internet provider, but a scammer instead! Beware!

Guy name JAsoN William called claimed his Id number was 4037....He claimed he can he can get xfinity bill discounted and the bill will be 299$ each month....I gave a check number and they said all I have to pay was 299$ and they will pay the balance. They paid the amount day of the phone call but with a mastercard then stop the payment the day before the xfinity payment was due....They never answered the phone with number provided
