I saw an advertisement on Instagram that showcased cute vintage sunglasses. I looked at the Instagram page of this new company called YELLO apparel. Their Instagram page has several pictures from girls who have purchased their products, so I thought this is a good sign. They were advertising for ambassadors, and I put down my email so I could find out what the discount would be. The discount was 80% of your first sunglass purchase. I am very wary of scammers, so I checked the vitals of the website. They have a privacy policy on their website, a lock on the https, and contact information. I also checked customer reviews, which were positive. The one thing I did not do, was call the main number (which I recognize I should have now). The company states that they are located in Canada, and is a Christian company. After placing my order, I received an email that said I would get an update when the order was being shipped. Two weeks went by and I still hadn't received a notification of shipment. I sent the company an email with my order number, and I called the main number several times. I got no response through email, and the phone number line kept saying to leave a message. I also sent a direct message through Instagram, but again received no response. I decided to ask one of the ambassadors who had posted a pick with their sunglasses, how long it took for her sunglasses to be shipped. She simply stated that it took almost two months. At this point, I realized that this was not a reliable company, and didn't expect to get my sunglasses for sure. I just received my sunglasses yesterday, however, they are very cheap, and certainly not the quality material being advertised on their website. The package also said it was shipped from an obscure location in China, which is definitely not Canada. Also, the insurance on the package was $5, which indicates that the cost to make these sunglasses was also much lower than they advertised. The original cost of these sunglasses was $62. This is a complete rip-off, and I want to warn anyone else looking into this new sunglass company. Again, the product was cheap and could be easily broken. Please do not buy from them!
