Our company received several faxes asking to update information on file. The fax looks extremely legitimate and could easily be mistaken for the actual Yellow Pages. Some company information was incorrect and the page says to please review info and send back. There is nothing on the page regarding payment although it does say "This is not a bill". The page makes it look like you are already a current subscriber to the yellow pages. However, a few weeks later we received an invoice for services and it immediately became clear that this company was a scam. There was nothing on the original fax that says anything about Germany or the company being out of state, in fact it has "Massachusetts" prominently displayed. The invoice however is post marked from Germany and it looks completely different from the original fax. Anyone unsuspecting would send money to this bogus company without even knowing what they've done. I researched this particular scam after receiving the invoice and found that I am not the only one to fall for this. I found that it is extremely common.
