I received a phone call from 859-390-1265. Someone said "hello" and I replied "Yes", and they immediately hung up. I strongly suspect they were trying to obtain my voice saying "yes" to attempt to create fraudulent authorizations for purchases using my information.

She repeatedly asked me for a six digit code that she texted to me - said she wanted to verify that I am a real person. Then, I read about the scam for doing exactly that and now I am afraid that she is setting up a Google Voice number linked to my phone number. Since I sent the verification code, the scammer will be able to complete the account setup and use that phone number to conceal their identity. Or, they can pretend to be me and open new accounts in your name.

I got a call. I told the gentleman that I had my ******** ********* ****, that there was nothing wrong with my computer, and that I didn't want to buy anything. I then requested he remove my number from their list. He then said, may I ask you a question, and I said yes. The call was then disconnected.

Unknown number called, caller’s first words were “Can you hear me?” Believe they were attempting to get me to say “Yes” per the “Say yes” phone scam. Managed to not say yes by asking who was calling but then accidentally said “Okay” when hanging up the phone.

I received a phone call from 510-324-9442 and he asked me if I was (my name) I said yes and then he hung up. I looked on line for scams and they said they are after people to say yes and it can be recorded. I have called the 3 credit firms to put a block on my credit.

I received 2 call from 253-520-5097 which I don’t recognize this number. On the first call he said “can you hear me, I guess we have a bad connection, I will call again shortly”. He called back immediately, this time calling me by my name, tried to verify my name. Only thing I said was “ who is this?” then he hung up.

I am a self-employed nail tech so I have to pick up calls no matter what area code. because people keep their cell number even when they move from state to state.

Even though I do womens nails a lot of times I get husbands or boyfriends who call to ask questions about gift certs or make appointments for their loved ones, or make an appointment for a pedicure for themselves.

On this particular day I answered the phone and the man on the other end asked if this was (my name)? Of course I said yes, He then hung up.

I got a sick feeling in my gut and immediately looked up phone calls done in that manner my gut was right. I have been a victim of the YES scam.

I am now on high alert and gave gone through and changed ALL my passcodes.

I'm not sure how to handle these horrible people when I run a business and am susceptible like this.
