a pop-up said my computer had been infected and directed me to call 8442557017. I didn't stay on long enough for them to ask for my credit card info. I did let them get remote access so am going to check for malware.

I was contacted in January on the 11th by James Cooper a representative of Yestech who said that they were a part of Microsoft to put a software on my computer to keep me from getting a virus. They got my checking account information and debited my account for$500. I called back on the 12th to cancel the service and was told they could only give me $299 back but it should be in my account within 10-14 days. I called each month from Feb - May trying to get my money back. On May 3, 2017 an Evan Smith contacted me and asked to take control of my computer to help me sign up for online banking to give my money back. My niece and nephew came by to visit while I was on the phone and took the conversation over and told him he could not have control of my computer and contacted the bank as he had more of my banking information. Evan called back the next day and my nephew asked him to not contact me at all. At this point Evan became irate and used profane language about me and my nephew hung up on him. I reported this to local police and my bank. I did not receive any service at all and it seems that they wanted more information about my accounts. He wanted me log on to online banking while he had control of my computer which would have given him access to my accounts. I do not know a specific address. Each time I spoke to someone they were in a different state. Once it was Nevada, then California.
