I received a robocall with a female voice indicating I had "Four serious charges" against me and if I didn't call the number they left I would be "taken into custody by local authorities". A white pages search indicated this company is called YMAX out of New York, and numerous other people have gotten this same call, usually it is reported to be from the IRS. I DO NOT owe the IRS nor anyone else money, and I do not appreciate companies like this one being allowed to call and harass people, trying to scare them into giving money or personal information. I have received numerous calls from New York area codes over the last couple weeks, possibly from this same person or persons, but this is the first time they have left a message. I do not know anyone in the state of New York, so I can only assume it is this same person or company attempting to call from another number to get me to pick up. I want these harassing calls stopped! At the very least I am placing myself on the "do not call list" (again) in an attempt to stop this, and I am filing this complaint!
