Melissa Robbins, the owner of Yoga Soul KC, offered a 200 hour Yoga Teacher ‘Academy’. Melissa and Yoga Soul KC failed to obtain appropriate certification with the Yoga Alliance in order to offer a legitimate Yoga Teacher Training that could result in students becoming 200hr Registered Yoga Teachers. Melissa did not disclose in her advertising of the training, materials provided or lessons during training, that the hours would not count towards becoming 200hr registered yoga teachers. Melissa chargered $3,500 for this training with payment options:

Payment Options:

$3,150 - Early Bird one time payment (10% off)

$3,300 - Early Bird payment plan (5% off) $1,000 upon enrollment, $230 per month for 10 months

$3,500 - Full Price payment plan, $500 upon enrollment, $300 per month for 10 months. It was my understanding when I paid for this training that I would become a 200 hr registered yoga teacher. Melissa frequently cancelled scheduled trainings. The 200 hours were never completed. Melissa has failed to respond to communication regarding rescheduling missed hours. Although now that I am aware that the training is not legitimately registered with the Yoga Alliance, I don’t want to waste anymore of my time.
