I was looking for a puppy and came across a website on Facebook “Yorkie puppies for sale near me. I sent comment if they had any puppies for sale to a good home. He replied yes and then directed the conversation through messenger. He said he had 3 puppies available, 2 yorkie gray and white puppies one male named Troy and a female named Jane and a Maltipoo male puppy named JJ. The Maltipoo is the one I chose, then conversation went to emails. The sender “Daniel” sent a pdf puppy contract that was blank along with a paper to register puppy with AKC once received. I didn’t fill out anything on the paperwork nor did I sign anything and send back as he wanted me to. I told him once I received the puppy, the contract stated I had 2 days to pay him for said puppy. He said he was going to register the puppy and pay $998.00 for the shipping cost, which he said he needed right away and told me how to use Cash App. I sent the $160.00 to his cash app $dahova1, he received it and said he would take the puppy to the Pueblo Memorial Airport to ship first thing the next day. The next day, he said he was at the airport and the puppy needed a special anti-pressure crate to fly the puppy on the plane. He said the crate was $500, he requested a refundable payment for the crate for $460.00 and he had the rest of the money. He said it needed to be done right away as he was at the airport and would not leave until he saw the puppy boarded onto the flight. We kept in contact with emails. Once he received the $460.00 he began to use another email from SKIPPY DOO’S PET SHOP in Denver,Colorado. [email protected], he sent me a tracking number for the puppy but it turned out that the tracking number I was given by him was a package I was going to receive on Thursday which was a tracking number from USPS for my Rural 4G internet box!!!! After that he has blocked me on that website and messenger and has not answered any more emails from me. He used a agency named DROPZIPSLOGISTICS to ship the puppy. They began to email me that I had to send them $1450.00 for a special crate and a COVID-19 vaccination for the puppy!!! They also asked I send this to their agency for the refundable amount of $1450.00 once the puppy was delivered. I requested a refund from “Daniel” on cash app and he declined both refund requests. I have a video of him that the agency sent me while he was waiting to register the puppy. I also have saved and printed out every email communication and messenger communication from every source as well as the photo and video he sent me of the puppy I was to receive. I have not received a Maltipoo puppy named JJ yet and it’s been a week. Now the DROPZIPSLOGISTICS Place says I need to send the $1450.00 within 48 hours or the puppy will go to a local pet shop in Pueblo, Colorado as they can no longer continue to feed the puppy. The first contact was made at night on Facebook July 6, 2020 and today is July 14, 2020. The name of the puppy owner on the AKC paperwork is James COPINGER. I have never felt so stupid for trusting what I believed was a legitimate transaction. I have cried my heart out over this puppy and worried about it’s where abouts. I am extremely distraught and stressed about this entire situation and do not know what to do or how to get my money back. This agency also wants me to use cash app to send the money and I told them I no longer use this app. I have not received anything to take a picture of but I do have a video and picture of the puppy from the seller. I also have a video of him sitting with a crate but I saw no puppy inside the crate. I have screen shotted every correspondence with all involved as well as saved to files and printed everything out. It’s so wrong for others to do this to people who trust them to do what they say, and this sort of thing is what makes people trust no one. I was expecting this puppy to register as an emotional support animal with only the best intentions of giving it the best life possible.
