On Thursday January 12, 2017 I received a phone call from my employer stating that I needed to call this company about a civil suit against me. My employer tried to direct him to human resource but he quickly gave her a number for me to call as he did not want to talk to HR. On Friday January 13, 2017 I called and spoke with Micheal Walsh at Yorkshire Aquisitions. He told me that he was hired by HSBC credit card service to collect a debt. He said I could pay 100.00 a month to settle this debt. I agreed because I thought it was lagitamet because I do owe HSBC. Afterword I called to verify that Yorkshire is in fact working with them. I was told that the company that owns the account is not Yorkshire but in fact is owned by Portfolio Recovery Associates. I called yourshire and left a message letting them know I was not going to pay them because they do not own the account. He called me back and said that he did own the account and that by me talking to a general representative they would not know that the account was turned over to them. He said I need to call him back and get this resolved. I did not call him back. I did however instruct my bank not to let the debit go through.
