I attempted to pay for a Khol’s charge payment. On their paper statement, they listed a phone number in bold 1-800-564-5740. An Indian man answered and said that I was the 97th person out of 100 people that Khol’s was issuing store gift cards to. He said I only needed to pay $3.95 for shipping the gift card to my house. I gave him home address and credit card information. He was chill on the phone and made me forget why I called in the first place. He kept having me repeat my info to an automated system. At the end he asked if I had recieved a failed txt or email from my bank. I said no. He then asked if I had a bank account I could use or other credit card. I said no. He gave me this confirmation #: 8452-80 then hung up. I then found emails from 2 separate businesses pop up on my credit card statement. One for $3.95 from ShopCop and one for $4.95 from Ageless Renewal Solutions. These small payments were trials set up as larger recurring payments that I had to call them both to cancel. I currently have the Ageless Renewal Solutions issuing a return, but ShopCop seems to be a fraud website created in 2023 with no business information listed.
