I followed his YouTube videos for a few years then decided to follow him on Instagram. Once I did he began to chat with me every day. He finally asked me if I was aware of Bitcoin mining. I was. He suggested that instead of letting my Bitcoin stay in my wallet, that I use an electronic miner to create more Bitcoin. He offered to install it. The instructions were to get the Bitcoin from where I held it on Coinbase, transfer it to Blockchain (wallet app) then he would take me through each step to install the Bitcoin miner on Blockchain. I let my guard down long enough so that when he asked me for the Bitcoin key address in order to complete the installation, I gave it to him. This was early 2020. After fees my 2.7 BTC was 2.3 BTC and he took it all. I still have screenshots of the transaction and conversations after it happened. I sent letters to the Attorney General of Los Angeles to no avail.

I received the following text:

I received two text messages in one day to multiple different phone numbers stating that scarf Godfrey had one the lottery and wanted to select 20 people to give a gift of $150,000 to.. they included a link to a YouTube video from an interview with him. Then they said to text back a separate phone number and give a code and that would prove we won.

The text message I received says:
