We've been getting texts (both my wife and me) about selling one of our homes. We've never tried to sell it in the 17 years we've owned it. Yet realtors text us saying they saw our information on zBuyer's website as interested in selling our home.
Looking at zBuyer's actual website, it appears to provide "leads" to realtors, after said leads have agreed and provided their contact info. Taking into account our own experience of being contacted without never knowing about the site or agreeing to anything, and the other complaints from realtors receiving bogus leads (and from people like us), the entire thing must be some sort of scam.
Realtors are signing up for this and are given unsuspecting people's information. We're not out any money, just losing patience with multiple unsolicited texts. This would definitely be a money seeking scam on realtors though.
