I was contacted via text message for a job opportunity. I was given an authorization code that i was to text to someone on Microsoft teams, they conducted an "interview" (just through chat) and told me to come back to the chat at a later date to see how i did, once i checked back i was told i got the job and the company was going to send me equipment, i received a check for $2500 to my email (i received this in my junk folder) after i received the check i was told to send $1000 to a person with a different email and was told i would be receiving a computer in the mail. I expressed concern to the "hiring manager" and he then called me from the phone number 401 285 0308. In very broken English he said that i was required to send the $1000 in order to continue the process. This all felt extremely fishy to me so i did not send any money, i fully expect this check to bounce and hopefully i dodged a bullet
