The buyer was trying to send me money for an item she bought, but the transaction did not go through. I was using Zelle through my back account, but I never received the payment. She then told me that she needed $200 for her to upgrade my account. I sent her the money through Zelle twice and it went through, but she claims she never got it. The buyer contacted Zelle and I received a series of emails. The first email said I needed to upgrade my account by sending $200. Then they sent an email saying I needed to pay a $200 for a certificate form fee and that is the last time I have to send any money to them. I sent them the $400 and they said that the last $200 I send will be the last time I have to send money to them. They were supposed to refund me the $1,080 through PayPal, but instead they asked for another $300. I feel like the buyer and the person behind the fake Zelle emails are the same person.

Person pretended to be buying a piece of furniture I am selling. They wanted to get the payment out of the way before they picked it up later. Their name was Pamela Triplett on Facebook Messenger. Had a whole scam about using Zelle and sent me fake emails from "Zelle" saying that they needed to send me more and I would have to refund them the extra so it could go through as a business transaction. "Zelle" email was [email protected]. Obviously not I realize that is a fake email, but it looked legit at a glance and with the formatting of the email.

I am not sure who is a fault here , Zelle or the scammer. The scammer wanted the money. Zelle wants to pave the way for them. When i called Zelle about the scam their comment was Buyer Beware

Oswald called to tell me he was from account verification dept of Zelle. He said he received an "electronic notice of change from bank asking them to update a routing number due to a technical issue - payments may not have gone though correctly". The number above was the clal back number. The number he called from was 727-873-0200. I did not respond.

- Queen Creek, AZ, USA

Caller called and asked "can you hear me?", I said "yes" then he said "you are being recorded" and I said why? And he started telling me he was looking for seniors to participate in a travel assistance program. I hung up. The next day I received a text saying I had signed up for Zelle, a company that makes moving money to and from your account easy?????? I DID NOT sign up for such an account!
