ZENITH BENGALS at 12 Gatewood Rd, Springfield, MA 01119 is acting as a fraudulent bengal domestic cat breeder and seller. Zenith Bengals is running a website (www.zenithbengals.com), which appears to be completely legitimate, to offer bengal kittens for sale. We initially contacted Zenith Bengals via its website and asked to purchase a young male kitten named Zeus. Primary correspondence from that point was via e-mail ([email protected]). We signed what appeared to be a legitimate contract on Nov 29, 2017 with Zenith Bengals, POC *** *** (see uploaded file) for one male kitten (Zeus) priced at $550. The seller acknowledged receipt of funds we forwarded via Money Gram on Nov 30 and promised to relay shipping details within the next 24 hrs. The funds were received by the scam perpetrator in Gloucester, MA at Shaw's on 127 Eastern Ave, 01930 at 11:59 a.m., Nov 30. The seller made his last correspondence on Dec 3, claiming he was meeting with the shipping agent. No other contact was received after Dec 3 from *** *** or Zenith Bengals – multiple e-mails and telephone calls were not answered. We filed a police report for this scam on Dec 7, 2017.

Researched bengal cat breeders, was directed to this website. Said available kittens for sale. Sent contracts, terms, conditions, sent pictures of kittens. Correspondence was all done via email. Said they needed to be paid via moneygram, sent information to send, $550 per cat. Afterwards said insurance which would be 98% refundable needed to be paid for travel of the cats, also to be paid via moneygram
