I found this scam while browsing craigslist in Charlotte, NC. They claimed they were rehoming a samoyed puppy and that they recently moved to LA for employment, so they needed to ship the puppy to me. It all seemed legit; they were concerned about the puppy having a loving home, asked me if I had room for a dog, if I had owned a dog before, etc. They never asked for payment while emailing back and forth for a week. Then, the day came to ship the dog. I was emailed by [email protected] and then was called immediately after by the phone number provided to help navigate the website. Everything still seemed legit until the company told me to get back in contact with [email protected] to proceed with payment ($450) so that they could move forward with the shipment. I knew then that it was a scam because there was a tracking number already provided, which means the company should have already been paid and they wouldn't be concerned about whether or not this person I had contacted got their money from me (not their problem). I got called a second time by the company, but I didn't answer. I didn't give them any money, I only gave them my name and address, but I'm sure there are others who have suffered more loss and fallen victim to this scam.

They got my 20 yr old daughter who was super happy to be receiving a 12 wk old Rottweiler male puppy by a couple named Jennifer and John Adrian. The people claimed also, to be relocating from NC to CA and couldn't move with the puppy. These people go the extra mile with their scam! My daughter sent them $450 when she received shipping info from Zenith with tracking numbers and info of the puppy moving from state to state. She didn't get suspicious until when the puppy reached AZ and someone from Zenith called asking for an additional $1500 claiming that was her portion to fly the puppy from AZ to NC where we were so she came to us. By then the money was lost and the bank couldn't track these people down. Bank of America are such jerks they wouldn't approve the claim with all the info we had. Such a let down! She did get a wonderful Rottweiler puppy from a great breeder here in NC and at 8mos the puppy is over 80lbs...she's a great dog...cost us $700 bucks but it was her Christmas present!
