The claim to sell corgi puppies.
First they asked my age and if i have any children or pets and what gender puppy I'm looking for, which is normal. I answered the questions.
They insisted on delivering the corgi to me and that I pay them in full over zelle before seeing the puppy in person. That's $700 for the corgi and $200 for shipping. I said that I am in the area and would prefer to pick up the puppy in person the next and pay $700 in cash in person. They agreed but said that I needed to place a $350 deposit to put the corgi on hold so nobody else buys it before I pick up. I've adopted from breeders before were I had to place deposits so this seemed reasonable. I placed the deposit, sent the $350 over zelle. Then they went back on there agreement and said I needed to pay the $700 over zelle before I can make an appointment to pick up. I reminded them that they agreed that I could pay in cash, but they persisted saying that another family is willing to pay in full over zelle if I don't? What was the point of the deposit then? I said no and asked for my deposit back if they couldn't stand by the original terms of agreement. They said they would refund me, but then they insisted that I just pay in full over zelle and pick up the puppy the day after. Didn't he say there was another family that wanted the dog? I told them that. Then they said " My wife says you should just complete your fees and you can have him" once again I said no. They told me they can't refund my deposit and that i have to wait untill monday because they have reached the weekly limit on zelle.
I have never met a reputable breeder that doesn't except cash at pickup, in fact most breeders prefer to be paid in cash, I have also never met a reputable breeder that expects you to pay in full before you even get to see the dog. This whole thing just screams scam to me. DO NOT ADOPT FROM THEM, and don't buy from people in general who go back on there agreements.
