zillow,trulia, and other website in looking for
an apartment. I found a unit that I was very
interested and reach out to the agent who has
the listing 3925 North Keeler unit 1E Chicago,
IL 60641. The Leasing agent is Joshua
Hopson phone#773-844-4606. He send me
an application supposedly for the unit and then
ask me for all my information Id, ssc, income
proof. He then send me an application that
had a third party involved which is ICM
Property 3080 N Lincoln ave Chicago IL 60657
phone#773-549-5443. I submitted my
application thinking this was legal. But I did
not send any documents over but I did put
my ssc# on it. I then called the ICM
Properties and the said that they did not find
an application for me and that they did not
have a Joshua Hopson on there staff. I
explained the situation and they said that the
work with third parties and that the were not
aware of this individual. They send me back
to call this individual and make an
appointment and I made an appointment with
him on 11/12/22 at 11am. He agreed and I
went on Saturday to the site were the
apartment was supposed to be shown to me
and he text me and said he was running late.
Then he said he got the wrong key and that
he be there at 11:20am. Then he text me
back and said that the manager just informed
him that the unit was rented out. I believe
this was a scam and I have all the documents
to prove all the emails I saved and text as
well. I do not want anyone to experience this
at all. I am concern about my information
been giving on this application with all my
information on it. Please help
