I am writing regarding a possible scam, my girl might have just been the victim of a scammer we did catch this on time before moving forward and wanted to bring your attention.

Yesterday she received and email from a zip recruiter add saying she got a work from home job paying 28 dollars an hour, seem too good but she gave it a go anyways. Lady asked her to do a hang out session no video just texts. Asked for her address and name.

Today she received a checked for almost $4000. The email she received the message from is now saying it doesn’t exist and the lady she spoke to yesterday is ghosting her.

What are the next steps she needs to take? Should she report this to the authorities? The check has not been cashed or deposited

I had a resume on ZipRecruiter. I applied for a job for Mercy High school. Apparently a supposedly hiring manager wanted to hire me as a personal assistant. They sent me a check, I went to my bank and of course the check was no good. I became very suspicious because they were only contacting me via email. I of course did not give them any personal information. These people are pretending to be hiring managers and are going on sites like ZipRecruiter and trying to get account numbers and other pertinent information. Please let the public know about this scam!!!!!

They posted my Company online saying we are looking for employment hiring at $15 an hour for Data Entry Specialist. In no way is that accurate. I called them to report it 48 hours ago, they said they would remove us, and I am still listed as an employer. Will you please investigate? I have been telling anyone who calls that it is most likely a scam.
