On-line advertisement by ZOFAC for Ellis Brooklyn Rrose Eau de Parfum at $92.65, free shipping.
On June 15, I ordered the perfume, paid with PayPal, and received confirmation of the sale for $92.65, saying the product would be shipped shortly.
On June 19, I sent an email to the only contact listed for Zofac, [email protected], requesting updated information for shipping. There was no reply.
On June 19, I sent another email to Zofac canceling the order and stating I would be contacting PayPal about the transaction.
On June 20, I called PayPal about the concern. Their records indicated that the transaction involved payment being issued as a personal payment to Joseph G. Say on June 15. Therefore, they could not cancel the transaction and recommended I call the bank I use for my debit card/PayPal.
One June 20, I called Chase Bank and reported the situation. Their records indicated that $95.64 was issued TWO TIMES on June 16. They issued a temporary credit for both charges and will be trying to reach the business, Zofac, in order to resolve the situation (Reference # given for both disputes).
Chase Bank will contact me at the resolution of both charges/disputes.
Today I cannot find Zofac on-line or in the original source found on Google.
