McAfee Total Protection for 60 months for $470.00 for order confirmation sent online to my email. I called the phone number 1-844-501-2176 to find out about this charge @ 12:30 pm EST . I was told if I cancelled I need to pay the $100 cancelation fee otherwise I will be charged the $470.00. I then hung up.

The email came from a Dean Anzalone [email protected]

The email stated :We appreciate you for placing this order on 8th Mar Tue (#17UK41) Mar 8, 2022 at 10:40 am, (Which I did not do)

A charge for Conf # NN-AS 86590547 in the amount $470.00 will be debited within 24 hrs to my bank account statement.

For further assistance call toll free 1-844-501-2176 with the name Julia Young on bottom of email.

Mywife ordered some flowers online and dismissed an ad for Norton. After transaction she received email regarding an order..stating that we subscribed to Norton antivirus (a garbage product that I don’t and will never use) When we call support number the scam is to allow them access to your computer so they can install fake cancellation form. Do not..repeat..do not let them install anything on your computer. Contact your bank to see if charges actually exist because in most cases it is fake as well. They tried to strong arm me over the phone to allow them administrator control on my machine…big No! Be on lookout for you have been warned…

I received an email from McAfee saying it was time to renew. I called 800-303-6170. I spoke to a man with an Indian accent. He offered me a credit. I followed their instructions for the credit. They asked me to enter $200, and I did. Then he told me that I had transferred $20,000 into my account. I argued with him for an hour. He told me to write a check for $10,000. I asked why. He said because the federal government won't let you write a check for more than $10,000. I told him he was a scam. I went to the bank, and they closed my account.

Got email stating signed up for McAfee protection and charge will come out of online account called cancellation number and had me install any desk so they had access to my computer to cancel the charge

I received an email from someone at the above email stating they were from McAfee and that I renewed my subscription. Knowing that I DID NOT sign up for anything I contacted my bank and the sender. They insist I signed up for something that I did not. I cannot attach a photo but can send the photo in a separate email

Auto renewal for McAfee product indicating withdrawal of money from my bank account with order # M57804CAA. I reported it to my bank, but was unable to reach a McAfee support specialist. I have never purchased their product.

We don't have McAfee on our computer we use another security program. This is the second of these we have gotten in 6 months.

Beware, make sure you don't have credit card info floating around.

I received this email at 1:00am saying they were going to charge my account Debit that is on file with Mcafee. First off i do not use this product and 2nd they said they were going to charge 278.87 within 24 hrs. If i dispute i need to call the number 185O-666-4O63 which is our local number (area) and the address wasn't given except for California and the email address was a gmail account. So i knew this wasn't right so i called the number. I man answered with a foreign accent and all i said was cancel the account linked to the email you sent me the dumb receipt. He said he couldn't cancel anything without me providing banking or credit card info. BOOM! so i hung up and did not provide him anything. This needs to be looked into because this is absolutely wrong. They need to be stopped.

I got an email stating that my free McAfee Support and Services had been renewed successfully for 2 years and that I was charged $353.99. I actually do have McAfee but called the number to ask some questions. A man w an Indian accent spoke w me telling me it was time to renew and he could install, asked for access to my computer, which I dumbly allowed. I became suspicious, because everyone I spoke with had same accent. I looked at my McAfee account and it showed that it was not due to be paid, & I noticed that the email was from lwayservice.com, not McAfee. I shut down my computer and contacted the better business bureau. The scammers had told me that the computer would run through the night, & gave me a phone number in case I had questions. I called the number after I shut down my computer and no one answered, they called me that morning and I told them that I knew they were scammers and that I reported them. I changed all my passwords and took my computer to be serviced by professionals who knew what to do in case part of my info was hacked into.

Received invoice in my Gmail. For 499.00 approx. I did not order.

When I called the guy that answered did not identify himself by name or organization. He insisted he could not cancel without me being on my computer or smart phone

. I hung up and went to website found for the company on goggle. They answered and said they had sent nothing and they have no acct in my name . They created a ticket for this scam.

So far no money taken out of any

of my accounts. But the invoice said within 72 hours.

Sent me a email saying that they automatic renewed my mcafee for $470. dollars i do not have automatic renewel on my account and it will not expire till 2023 they said it already did not so i did not give them any info on my bankat all

I got an email from what appeared to be a legitimate service I use. Long story but they were going to process a refund to my bank account so they instructed me to load deskhelpme. BIG mistake! I realized what was up but they had corrupted my computer by trying to get my password. I had to take the computer to get it wiped clean. They did not get money but be alert to anyone asking got info.
