I received a letter in the mail from 501c3 Center that I need to file for my nonprofit and yes, I thought it was the IRS. I know the company has stated that the letter says " you are not required to pay anything..." but the disclaimer is at the TOP RIGHT of the page. Pretty sleazy as they know most do not read that section seeing that people in the U.S. read from left to right AND, I found this in a Google search "Eye tracking studies indicate that users spend most of their time with their eyes on the left half of the page". Hey 501c3 Center, why don't you put yourr disclaimer at the top, better yet, the top left? You can just move your address down a little to make room...

Luckily I didn't fall for this scam because when I got to the end and saw the $200.00 I looked around and saw that this was not in fact the IRS (I missed that part of the box on the RIGHT of the letter). I then went to the actual IRS website and found that there is NO FEE. $200.00 to do something for people that literally takes 3 minutes or less? THIS is PROOF that you cannot deny that you are scamming people. If you weren't, why wouldn't you charge say $20.00 (which is still highway robbery for this task)? I would like to see your justification for charging people $200.00. What exactly is it that you are doing to justify charging $200.00? Looking forward to your response. This ought to be a good one, I am getting the popcorn ready!

I had similar experience like the first person above. The 501c3 Center Inc website did not put any announcement that they are not affiliated to or don't have any relation with IRS. More important, I believe they never filed the 990 form for my organization as I received notice from IRS for the missing 990 form. I just send a refund request to the company and hope to see the refund ASAP.

The service was requested on 11/22/21 and an email confirmation was sent on 11/23/21. The IRS sent their letter before the 990 was posted in their database.

Recently filed 990n with this website because they were #1 on google search. Thought the $200 fee was because our revenue activity picked up. Later found out it should have been free. Filing a 990n takes 3 minutes on the legitimate IRS website. This service is only now posting a huge message "We are a 3rd party ant not a government agency... etc." I don't think they actually even filed the 990n as it wasn't showing up on the IRS database after several weeks. They have not refunded me my money and I had to re-file my 990n with the correct website... watch out people.

Our disclosure notice has always been on top. Further it is on the bottom of our 990n page as well where we indicate to review the top message not to confuse us with any agency.

Finally you did not indicate your organization’s name but if we do not successfully file the 990n we do indeed issue a refund.

They emailed me with our executive directors name, our organization type and our ein # included in the message. They provided many click bait sentences and wanted more information when I called them directly. I emailed them to halt/cancel the transaction and I contacted my visa card. I never fall for this stuff...so angry.

Our email indicates that it was an offer for services. If you confused us with a government agency we would be happy to issue a refund as a result of this. Your transaction was not processed if you requested a cancellation.

A 1 page, single sided letter came in the mail addressed to a non-profit organization claiming that we need to file a Form 990 to the IRS. Upon going to the website www.501c3Center.com/990 and filling out the form, I found that it would cost $200 for them to file it. That is when I became suspicious. I asked my CPA if this was real, he said it was not. Then I google searched the return address. It came up as a property for sale. My experience is exactly the same as the previous entry
I immediately cancelled transaction thru my bank.

I, too, received a one page notice telling me to visit www.501Center.com to file a 990 . In going to the site it was obviously not a government site and therefore bogus. The upper right hand corner of the notice also had verbage about not being required to purchase anything from this company etc. Again, just a notice from someone trying to scam money.
