Facebook posting for Aetna job

Person posting online for remote work for data entry. Sent me to the Telegram app and supposedly the Aetna hiring manager names Samantha did a short small interview. As follows:
Aetna Inc is an American managed health care company, which sells traditional and consumer directed health care insurance plans and related services, such as medical, pharmaceutical, dental, behavioral health, long-term care, and disability plans.
Then went onto ask some small accounting questions, how many words per minute do I type, and other questions. After a bit told.me I had the job. Then needed me to go through ID.me to give my info. Had me research all of the equipment I would need to work from home (which I thought was strange). Then needed my bank info to deposit the funds for said equipment. After that wanted me to send that money to my cashapp and sell it through the bitcoin section of it. When I couldn't do that they had me cashapp it to certain person which I questioned. Then when they tried to deposit more money into my account it locked my accounts. After that I went to the band and disputed all funds, but I may still be liable for some of because I did send some of the money to someone else. Not cool. I've even gone as far to file a claim with the FBI at www.ic3.gov to see if they can catch these people.

I recently have this experience lately and gave me a $950 check for equipment. The info I provided was my phone# , email, and address. and that was it.

I already have the amount and will be instructed next week as to what equipment(s) to purchase. Has anyone got this far? or further?

Since I'm already reading the posts here, I'm thinking of bailing out already and return the money?

They almost had me until they asked for 100 dollars for a software for payroll asking about zelle or cash app, then blocked me, she posted in the job community in Facebook, then say the download Google chat, so they started asking questions about software etc etc, I asked her to show me her equipment she did, but the hand was a Caucasian male, but her profile was a black woman, then said she's not a scammer she go to church every Sunday lol like that's something so they both blocked me on chat and messenger

I got a message in a fb group about a job. I inquired and they sent a link for Microsoft hang out. I contacted them and the whole thing didn’t feel professional. It felt too good to be true and too fast. After really looking even the messages/ grammar seemed off. I can’t believe I almost fell for it. I was

I saw a fb post about work from home data entry jobs they did an interview on telegram I sent my id my address phone number and email! They even sent me a 1,000$ check! I almost deposited it into my bank thank god I didn’t because they could of stolen my information. This is totally insane and crazy. I literally almost quit my job for this crap. So angry

A girl posted in a private group that I am a member of on Facebook. Job was for customer service/ data entry and work from home. Pay was weekly and 15/hr for training and 20/hr once training was complete. Was told to download telegram and have an interview with hiring manager. Never spoke with manager, he only messaged me back and forth, asking questions and giving me details about the position. Said that I would be sent equipment through FedEx. I was a little suspicious just because it seemed too good to be true and when he asked for my info he only asked for my name, e-mail and address so I could be sent the equipment so I wasn’t worried. Then he continued talking about the programs that would be installed on the laptop and asked if I was comfortable with them I said I hadn’t heard of most of them but I was a fast learner he said no problem. Then he said he would need my Facebook login so that the programmer could put it on there with all the other applications. So I asked what Facebook had to do with working and he said read the text I already sent which was super rude. I said I read it but I won’t be using Facebook while working so I’m just confused. He then said I have no reason to scam you I don’t need your Facebook login for personal use I am a family man I have children I would never do that and then quoted a Bible verse. That’s when I researched these type of scams and found this website. I then had the same girl who gave me the information start messaging me on Facebook again as soon as I stopped answering the so-called hiring manager. I told her I knew it was a scam and she immediately blocked me and then the messages from him on Telegram disappeared

I just got scammed. They’ve locked me out of my accounts and have my license and address. They’re trying to open accounts in my name and everything. I’m so mad I ignored all the red flags bc I even told my bf it was sketchy and unprofessional. Now I have to call and report identity theft😭

Facebook Messenger Telegram Scam

I seen a post in a local group, where a young lady had mentioned she was working with Aetna doing data entry & some general account balancing. She said they were actively seeking qualified candidates & looking to hire multiple people. She gave basic info on the group post, such as hourly pay (@ $20/hr) & that it would be paid training (@ $15/hr). She asked for anyone that was interested to PM her so that she could send us the full details directly. I was a bit skeptical, but I was definitely interested in the position so I wanted to check it out & see for myself if it was a scam or not. I immediately noticed that she send messages that were very “generalized”, & when I would ask a specific question, she would reply with more general information instead of answering me directly (or at least including that answer in her reply). I knew right then something wasn’t right, so I wanted to get right to the nitty gritty as you might say, and asked her how I would apply. I was looking for the website etc. She sent me the link to apply all right, & just as I had suspected...it wasn’t a traditional company website/hiring website or anything that I could try & do some searching/validation on. It was a link to conduct a “text to text” interview via “telegram” (but thru Facebook Messenger). I obviously knew better than to click on it, but I know based on so many others experiences that if I had chosen to proceed then they would have phished for my personal information like my SS#, & I would be asked to submit/upload my ID/Drivers License (for identity verification) etc.
It is definitely sad that we don’t know what is legit & what isn’t anymore...but anyhow, I hope this helps someone else. I will upload a screenshot of our conversation for reference.

I saw a post in our homeschool group. I responded to the post and messages the lady. They started texting me interview questions and such. Like most others I qualified. They asked for my name, address, phone number, and email…. I gave them all they continued with what equipment they were going to send and what programs I needed etc. They then asked me for a “selfie” and a pic of my driver’s license. When I I told them I didn’t send those documents through text and I would upload it through a portal they sent me an email that was a gmail account… um negative I just stopped responding as I was suspicious the entire time.

I recently got the same reply just yesterday 1/18/2022 and things didn't sound right so I gave Aetna a call and they had no records of the Jefferson Cummings name and had me call hr to check for an application in process for myself. I seen this post today and had to comment, it's ridiculous.

Company pretending to hire for customer service and data entry positions, paying $22 per hour. Interviews are conducted on Messenger telegram. They interview, state you are hired, attempt verification through I'd me, state you will receive equipment by FedEx, and send a photo of what items should be received. Ask you to complete paper work, by providing the license and SS number. Than will later ask for Facebook login and password. I asked for an offer letter, and telephone call, receive led neither. Attempted to reach interviewer Steven Martin by telephone and video call, response was a busy signal.
