Omar Air Duct and dryer Vent Cleaning visited my home to clean out the dryer vent duct. The vent is located on the first floor of my home and the vent itself is about 4-5 feet long. The technician named David arrived and cleaned the vent in about 10 minutes with a plastic snake tool. At the conclusion of the visit, he told me it would cost $400.

This company advertises a special price on a cleaning service and shows videos in the ad of tools being used for $99, but upon arrival they use an entirely inadequate machine and say that the tool shown in the video is actually going to cost an additional $675. The machine used for the $99 promo is ineffective, shows no difference in quality, then they try to upsell you on services that are entirely unneeded. When making a complaint to the advertising company, they blocked me.

Company, Advents Air Duct Cleaning, is an air duct cleaning service. I scheduled a $75 dollar dryer duct cleaning, when they arrived they upped the price to $350 saying the vents were very dirty and required deep cleaning. I said too expensive, then they offered to clean the entire house for the same price. I said go ahead. They did the work, but after the duct cleaning work completion, my air conditioning system ceased to work. They said they would return the following day to fix the air conditioning system, and they did return but could not get the AC working.

On Groupon - the company name is Matthew Chimney Cleaning and also listed under Matthew Duct Cleaning.

I was refunded but I still wanted to give the a negative review on Groupon. Since I was refunded and didn't redeemed the voucher, I can't give a review.

This is the agreement the technician gave me. I can't even read his name. This phone number 888-858-8458 is listed on the agreement. This number recording recorded the company name as Air Duct Dryer Vent and Chimney Cleaning.

If you type in number 888=858-8458, there were complaints about them on BBB as well.

Scammed by these people in Atlanta for $400. Even the cobwebs remain in the vents. Client was gone to work and there's no indication they vacuumed any of the vents with their weak portable vacuum.

A man called and said they had a promotion on air duct cleaning, they asked my square footage of my house and said it would cost $149.99. I said it sounded like a scam and I heard whispering and another man take the phone and began to speak about the same deal. He asked for my credit card to confirm a booking and said they were located in Calgary. I said this sounded like a scam and I heard more whispering and another man got on the phone and I said the same thing and he hung up.

> Very inexperienced technician came to service.
> Air duct cleaning done. In the process, he dropped cleaning liquid in all rooms. I think it is having some chemical, liquid drops changed the color of carpet. every where round white patches on carpet. I don't weather it can be cleaned or carpet need to be replaced.
> After service, they gave service receipt. Before payment, i called and spoke to customer service. They agreed the mistake and scheduled a carpet cleaning session. Before signing, I have entered not on this issue in service receipt.

I bought a Groupon 7/29/19 for dryer vent cleaning. It somehow showed up a 2nd time the next day as another Groupon. I called 1-888-506-5536 to schedule and was told no one could come and they'd contact me at a later date. I called again and finally scheduled for Aug. 7. On August 6 I received a call saying that if the vent is more than 6 feet I would be charged extra at the rate of $12-$18 per foot, depending on the difficulty of access.

On August 7 a man with an eastern european or more Russian accent showed up and gave me his card. He said he had the Groupon information, but that after examining my attic he'd have to charge me $15 per foot extra as the vent was 12', another $95.40. I paid as I was past the deadline for this required procedure, and asked for a receipt for my HOA. The receipt said, "Air Duct Cleaning 888-858-8458". It misspelled the words "Indentefication" and "technetian".

My HOA needed the address of the vendor so I called 888-506-5536 and spoke to Kael. He said the Groupon was not redeemed, there's no record of my address in the system, nor anyone servicing my area on August 7. This is troubling in so many ways:

1. I was charged twice

2. an unauthorized person entered my home and accessed my attic

3. the receipt given has no address or certificate number/license number

4. the receipt had a different 888 phone number on it and misspellings in the form itself

5. neither Groupon appears to have been redeemed.

I now have to hire a certified and proven dryer duct cleaner to clean the vent again, costing me $95. Groupon returned both purchases, thank goodness.

Person called offering a $39.95 air duct and dryer vent cleaning. Then transferred to a heavily accented man. I told him "No, thank you" and hung up. I did not want to give any contact or credit card info on the phone. He called back from an unknown number and started screaming "Expletive Language....." over and over again.
