Amazon Imposter - Publishing Scam Reports & Reviews (2)

I ordered the printing on paper of 7 issues of a mathematical journal, two copies of each issue.

Total 14 copies. They charged my credit card about a month ago, but never sent me any printing copies.

They offered an all-inclusive publishing service, using the Amazon brand name. They signed an NDA and offered a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Once the project launched it took weeks before getting the first steps established. And the milestones were never clear thereafter. The project manager was rude, obnoxious, dismissive and only kept trying to sell me more services before delivering active milestones on the project. The manager I was sent off to (George Martin) was of Indian origin with an American name, and whoever I was communicating with has the same profile, an Indian name, with American names working out of India. (I have to state here this is not a racial prejudice, I myself am of Indian descent). The last delivery of one of the milestones was a big red flag that they did not know what they were doing. They kept wanting to correct it, but there was no listening happening on the manager's end and I was tired of being jerked around after months with very little movement forward. The project should have been delivered by the time I put a stop to the process. There was a language barrier and clearly no desire to follow my instructions.

I got ahead of it and asked for a refund, and they again tried to offer me more services if "I would just hang on" they begged me. I said no, I have enough proof that you aren't a professional organization that understands how publishing work, or listens to its clients. Please refund my money. They eventually did. And then proceeded to ask me for money because they had paid an editor for part of the work. there are several emails back and forth, and finally, I was threatened by email that they were going to publish my work and purchase the copywrite to my work if I didn't pay them. I had been refunded based on the 100% satisfaction guarantee and now I was getting harassed and threatened if I didn't pay them again. I paid a final invoice, just to get them off my back. And to not have to go through litigation if they did try and breach the NDA as they were threatening to do.

Amazon Publishing Studio isn't a trustworthy company with honorable practices. The person who sold me the contract has since resigned, he held the title of VP of Sales. and went by the name Lucas Dawson, likely not his real name. The project manager went by the name of George Martin. Again unlikely his real name. They showed me a certificate of being a third-party part of the seller affiliate program with Amazon that expires in September of 2023. These individuals should not be in business. They display fraudulent patterns and sociopathic behaviors.
