All my personal information was taken

- Cincinnati, OH, USA • Jun 11, 2024

Pretended to be the government site for passport renewal; charged $67.88 to auto fill form DS-82 based on information I provided. They refunded $17 due to my complaint. I mailed in the application and attachments, as instructed. While trying to track delivery, I found out that the pre-paid postage label they provided was “fraudulent” according to the post office, so my application was NOT delivered to the passport renewal office in Philadelphia, PA. Post office is holding it for investigation.

I was under the impression I was filling out an application to get a passport so all of my identifying characteristics were entered. My information. My mother's maiden name, my spouse, date of birth etc. The only thing thad indicated this was a scam was after the credit card information was put in. My husband got a text message from our bank alerting a possible fraudulent charge of $64. 30. I wouldn't have even suspected it except the application fee & everything invoiced at $96.88 have but the fraud alert message was $64.88.

It was actually all my fault because I didn't pay close attention to the website address since you can't really see the total address on your cell phone. But it was the first result that came back from Google and it looked legit. So I just started filling out the information. I hope this helps others from making the same stupid mistake I did and going without a card when it gets shut down because of a fraud.

The website identified itself as a way to fill out a U.S. passport renewal, which included personal information including ssn, and then offered the option to purchase expedited shipping and pay online, though you can only legitimately pay for expedited shipping by check or money order, and then they emailed a copy of your filled out form, but no receipt for the credit card transaction.

Was attempting to renew passport online

- Pasadena, MD, USA • Apr 10, 2024

It comes up as the first Google search for "passport renewal". It looks like a government site and asks for SSN, both parents full names and places of birth, current and former spouses, etc, most of which is not needed for the passport form.

Online renewal of passport. Collected my personal information for possible fraud

- Kissimmee, FL, USA • Mar 29, 2024

did a quick search to renew passport for kids and the google search provided this website as first one. After I filled out all the information it indicated an email would be sent with next steps and didn't receive anything. After that I did a quick search and found out that the site is a scam so I don't know why google puts it as first result in the search.

I was in a hurry to fill out passport applications to make an appointment for getting new passports for my 14 year old twins. I must have did a Google search instead of going to the State Department and trying to find the right page. The top 3 or 4 searches was the website reported and didn't have any link to the State Department. They now have my kids' social security numbers and passport numbers. I already cancelled my credit card. I feel very frustrated and duped that a site that was reported a year ago is still up on Google. I hope this isn't a huge nightmare to get addressed.

Impersonates a State Department Site for renewing passports I gave up my credit card information and social security.

- Peoria, AZ, USA • Feb 24, 2024

I googled us passport and was directed to Pass Travel USA. They are trying to take $322.37 without getting me a US Passport (obviously).

- Deltona, FL, USA • Feb 23, 2024

They took the identifying information for myself and my children which is required for passport application, with the promise of submitting the passport application. What they do instead is take your $ and give you the filled out form to print. This does not actually submit an application. They collected all of my personal data including SSN and my kids.

- Olive Branch, MS, USA • Dec 28, 2023

Offered passport application, but only filled out a form. Collected more personal information than was used on the form, but the form was sent via email after payment, so it was not obvious

- Madison, WI, USA • Dec 18, 2023

This store came up as a top search result in Google. So, I entered my information including my SSN, thinking it was a legitimate site. I also paid $85. Now I am worried.
