I received an email from [email protected] claiming to be from the Human Resources Department of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., offering remote job positions as Data Entry Clerk, Administrative Assistant, Customer Services Representative, and Payroll Clerk, with promised salaries. However, upon reviewing the email, it's clear that this is a fraudulent scheme.

The contact person provided, Mr. Oliver Jackson, has a Gmail address ([email protected]), not a corporate one, and was advise to reachout to him on Microsoft Teams.

I was contacted by [email protected] and told to contact Mr. Fred Wright via Teams. I was excited a first to be consider for a new opportunity and then I started to think the interview process was like one I have never experienced before. It started to really make me think of scam when they were telling me to deposit a check for equipment and also the pay rate given the position. They also sent me an offer letter that doesn’t look legit it just has the company logo but no other forwarding information. This is very sad because those who have been looking for employment and get hopes up for a new opportunity end up getting scammed. Please look into this as a company it appears several people have been scammed via employment opportunities.

I was contacted by this HR professional stating his name as a James Marie Sanchez. He told me to download Microsoft teams so that we could conduct the interview process. So I did and he asked questions and then told me I ranked 83% and that he was sending over my information to HR. And wait about 10-15 minutes and he would be back with the results. He returned and advised that I was being hired for Data Entry Clerk. He told me I could work flexible hours from home and I would make $35.75. This process was foreign to me but it really didn’t sit right when he said I have to purchase my equipment and he was sending the check. He never even saw me. I told him that this doesn’t sound right and he assured me that he had vendors etc.. after that I told him no thanks. Unreal and shame on these people taking advantage of people who want to work or better themselves.

Just received a text from this company recruiter told me he saw my resume on indeed. I was surprised that my entry-level or zero-experience could be recuites by other people. So I google it a little bit, turned out it was a scam. Thanks for the previous comments! Hope we could prevent more scams to happen!

I was sent a text about an interview. Then was told to download the Telegram app to set up the interview. Once I did, I was told to further the conversation with a Benny Gates as well. I was asked basic interview questions including my name, address, phone number, and DOB. Just as stated above, a few questions I had asked were not really answered. After the interview, I was then informed that he needed to discuss with Head of Department to see if I would be hired. Within 20 Minutes I was told that I scored 91% and would be moving forward with employment. He then spoke about software that I would need in order to complete duties, but the company would fund it by sending me the money. I felt a little off, but continued because on the website I did see there were openings for this position. Within the next two days I was told I was hired and would be getting my offer letter through email. Which I did. However, at this point I had a bad gut feeling, the header and footer were not as clear as the document and there were no trademarks. Also, the email was sent from Micah Davies and the document title was Brian Kennedy when opened and Arthur Davies when saved. (I attached it below. I then wrote him and asked could I speak with someone verbally before moving on (which I had previously before as well). I have not received a response and it has shown that the message has been seen. Then I googled several phrases equating to Arthur Gallengher hiring scam and came across this post. Thank you, I dodged the bullet.

I was sent an email about employment with this company. They instructed me to invite Benny Gates on Google Hangouts to have an introduction and brief interview.

I did as instructed.

He asked basic interview questions and gave general knowledge of the company that could be found on the website. He informed me a trainer would be contacting me and that he needed my name, address, phone number and DOB to begin the hiring paperwork. I gave him this information. He then asked if I knew several softwares and said that I would need to acquire them. I explained I was not familiar with all of them and asked if this was something I needed to purchase. He didn't respond to the question and asked another question completely unrelated. When I asked him to please respond to my previous question, he then said I should be assured the company will cover the costs. I then explained that I did not feel something was right and I would like a representative to call me to move forward. He ended the chat, turned off the history and is no longer available on Hangouts.
