Type of a scam: Employment

I've been looking for a job and that means signing up for many recruiter websites. I was contacted via text randomly from a person claiming to be "Robin" with a company called ASM International about a job that pays $35 a week and includes roles such as "administrative assistant, data clerk," etc. The texts had many spelling errors and issues. Immediately it smelled like a scam or just a really subpar recruiting tactic for free labor and free data, perhaps. However, I was intrigued to see exactly what was going on. When I followed up on the text, they required that I log into Zoom to have an "interview." From there, I began to do research on ASM USA / ASM International. I was immediately met with a Glassdoor review page filled with negative reviews about this being a fraudulent company that does not pay wages, attempts to get free labor through "training," etc. This research was reinforced when I logged into the Zoom "interview," which was conducted via Zoom chat, with no in-person interaction. The next day an "Employment Letter" was sent after a request to do training. This employment letter was sent from a gmail account, not an official company account. It looks very fake. In the meantime, there was no request for an in-person chat, a background check, or any official company documents regarding pay. The whole thing just smells like a long con. If you're getting texts or emails about jobs from ASM USA or ASM International, I would simply not trust them, and definitely DO NOT give out any banking details or conduct any work for free.
