United Automotive Services sent us Three notices demanding we call their number and provide our VIN and current mileage by a certain date or the mechanical coverage on the factory warranty will expire. No address or website was included for the company.

Obviously a scam. Annoying.

They asked for the Vin number and mileage on my car to continue mechanical coverage

Scam that keeps being mailed to me in my previous married name regarding warranty renewal of a car I have never owned.

A post card that says "FINAL NOTICE" PLEASE CALL NOW 1-855-985-0144 Monday - Friday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm EST. Claims that my new car warranty on my 2024 Subaru will not cover anything if I don't call them. Claims that I have 5 business days to respond. I think that you should call them just to see. It claims that my "CUSTOMER ID# is VPA7366339. The deadline date is 7/26/2024 according to the card

Received a letter in the mail that listed my name and the year, make, and model of my car and stated that this was a "FINAL NOTICE" that my coverage on my car would be expiring and that I should "Please contact 1-888-582-6870 today to get your coverage up to date." Stated that if I respond within 5 days I would be able to activate coverage on my vehicle and that "No inspection will be required and final acceptance is subject to your ability to meet eligibility requirements."

Included a "Registration Fee Voucher" that looks like a check at the bottom of the page for $199.00 and included my name an mailing address as well as some kind of "Record ID" number and an expiration date of 4/26/24.

Scam letter in the mail requesting VIN and mileage. Offer to opt out at nottom of letter.

- Pittsburgh, PA, USA

I received a letter in the mail with no return address telling me to call a number with my vehicle VIN and mileage. They said this was my final notice despite this being the first time they contacted me. They said my factory warrant was about to expire. What made me suspicious initially was that they sent me this letter implying I owned the vehicle when in fact it is registered in my mother's name. I think that one of the insurance companies I was getting auto insurance quotes from sold my information to this scammer, who went by the name of Richard Thomas.

I could never get a legitimate address or company name. I did not provide information though they offered a $1,200 annual plan to cover up to $6,000 in repairs ($100 monthly payment deal). No PII was provided to them. They mailed me a $199 Vehicle Service Credit that stated "Signature NOT required for redemption" and could be used at any dealership or ASE certified facility. They issued a Vehicle Owner ID: CPT3689654. I threw this all in the trash after I submitted this on the BBC website for Scams.

Letter in the mail stating my Hundai Elantra (which I don’t own) was my factory warranty has expired and if I don’t call and activate it I will be at risk of being financially liable for any and all repairs…call with VIN and Milage before 8/10/2023 to avoid penalty

I received a post card in the mail telling me that I needed to contact them to renew my factory warranty for my vehicle. They knew the dealer I bought it from, make and model of my car, etc. They threatened that if I don't contact them that I would have to pay for all my expenses out of pocket which is not true.

Was contacted by a person who said they were representing an extended vehicle warranty company who did business with Ford. She did not know my name and only mentioned Ford after she asked what the make and model of my 7yo car was. She gave me a phone number but then said that I copied it down incorrectly and gave me another number. She did not give me the actual name of the company that she represented. She did say that her name was Lasha but I did not detect a foreign accent. She kept lowering the price that she would give me to entice me to have her write up the contract. She would constantly put me on hold and have another person talk to me. I then put her on hold and called my friend and my friend said to hang up because she thought I was being scammed. I hung up and they are now constantly calling back and are relentless.

I had gotten a letter from this company stating my car's information on top, and that if this were not answered, my vehicle would be labeled "High-Risk potential 'Pre-existing conditions with mechanical or electrical issues on vehicle", then stated, "Neglecting to update your protection program will result in 100% out of pocket repair costs.". I was unsure of what this meant. I did just purchase this car, so I thought that it has something to do with this. I called the number on the letter, and they collected information about my vehicle. They went over an entire policy and being that I only called to get information, I had not done any research on this prior, which was my mistake. In short, I thought this was great, so I gave them a payment of $100 as a down payment, and then after the call ended, I looked into it some more. I had received an email with the confirmation of the policy, and some PDFs going over everything, and on the PDF had the company name, which was nowhere to be found in the letter or even in the email (besides in the PDF). I realized that this was a scam, so I called them back to cancel the policy. A woman answered the phone and was VERY aggressive. She had asked why I wanted to cancel, I had simply told her I changed my mind, however, she would not take that as an answer. She continued to harass me and ask why I would want to cancel when I just made the policy, asked if I had looked over my policy, and that I had 30 days to do so. I told her that I do not want to provide any other information. I continued to state that I would like to cancel my policy, and she kept asking me the same questions and kept harassing me. This was another huge tell that it was, indeed, a scam because no real company would harass a client like this upon trying to cancel. She then asked if I had "even looked the company up on better business bureau", and that they were a legitimate company with high ratings. This woman was not listening to me or canceling my policy, so I ended the phone call. Shortly after the call ended, I received an email that my policy had been canceled. Before confirming this with them, I called my bank and canceled the card I used for it so that no further payments could be taken, and luckily the payment is still "pending" (hopefully I get my money back). After canceling my card, I called them back to verify that the policy had been canceled (since this woman never told me she was actually doing it, rather just harassed me), and it indeed was canceled. Hopefully, there is no further trouble. Do not give this place ANY money or ANY information.

Scare tactics threatening financial penalties and negative report on vehicle.

Received a phone call stating my warranty was up on my new car. They verified my info, vin#, card#. Took 195.00 out

Of my account. Chase bank will not refund my money and the phone when you call and push 1 for English hangs up.

I am so tired of all these different numbers from auto warranty

- Brighton, IL, USA

This call was regarding an extended vehicle warranty offer. A foreigner asked, of course, if I was interested in extending the warranty on my vehicle. He explained that this was the 2nd warning and that my warranty was about up. That, if I didn't extend it, I would lose the warranty. I asked how I was going to extend a warranty when I don't even HAVE one on either of the vehicles I own?!?! The line, immediately, went dead.

I have no doubt this is a scam and needed to be reported should anybody else get a call from this number.
