After Googling the “Marriot Phoenix Chandler” one of the first ads to appear was for 'Bookonline.com', so I clicked and booked my room for the standard rate. My room total was $706 for 3 nights.

I then received an email confirmation, but a fee of $285 was added on. My total was suddenly $991.

The moment I saw the fee, I knew something was wrong, so immediately clicked the link on the email to Cancel the reservation.

Only 2 minutes passed between when I received the confirmation of the ‘Bookonline’ reservation, and the cancelation.

However, they charged my credit card the $991 nonetheless, even though I cancelled.
When I called their customer service number, the woman told me that Yes, they had canceled the room, but per their policy, they don’t take cancelations on the fees, so refused to credit the $991!

They kept the $991 - and I GET NOTHING! NO ROOM! NOTHING.

They are a scam!

Meant to go to the actual hotel website, but followed a link that unfortunately led me to bookonline.com. Searched for a date two weeks out for a hotel room in San Antonio, TX, to attend a funeral. Somehow when I booked the room, bookonline.com sent me an email confirming my reservation for tonight! I'm halfway across the country and don't need a hotel tonight.

I call their customer service within five minutes of booking the hotel, attempting to CHANGE the date to the correct date--not even a cancellation. The woman informs me this isn't possible because my date is outside of the cancellation window, which is 24 hours within the reservation. I explain that it was an error and I never intended to book a hotel room for tonight. Sorry, can't do it.

I called a second person at their company. Same thing. When I raised my voice, they seemed completely unfazed. Pretty sure this is a routine thing for this fraudulent company. They have no intention on being a reputable business. Just trying to pilfer money from people by gotcha scams and taking advantage of people's mistakes.

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH BOOKONLINE.COM

Realized 5 mins after making reservation we did the wrong location… they tried to tell us that reservation was prepaid and could not be refunded or transferred to correct location. We are still waiting to see if they can refund as it’s been “requested” … even though the hotel website allows 24 hr cancellations & we are a month out ?

I was looking for a hotel in Madras, OR. I booked a motel through this website. An hour later, my trip was moved to a different city, so I canceled the reservation via their automated system. I received a cancellation email. 4 hours later I received another confirmation of a new reservation. I did not book another reservation. When I called and spoke to Al, he told me a family member used my debit card to make the reservation. They absolutely did not! They scammed me out of another $100, that I have to wait 3-5 business days to get back. Shady company!!
